The Ditting 1827 High Volume is an industrial grinder for roasteries and large scale coffee production: up to 300kg of ground coffee per hour on medium grinds and 280kg/h on espresso, in continuous operation. This is the machine that grinds behind the scenes of retail bags and food service supply, not a shop counter grinder.
The MH version mounts 180mm hard metal (tungsten carbide) burrs rated for 250 to 450 tonnes of coffee before replacement, roughly ten times the life of standard steel burrs. High precision stepless adjustment gives repeatable particle size across the whole range, the trait Ditting's Swiss industrial engineering is known for.
The 5.5kW three phase motor uses surface cooling and high starting torque for uninterrupted duty; the hopper takes 30kg of beans (70l) and the ground coffee container holds 200l. Net weight is 240kg including the base.
