The Ditting 1827 High Volume is the Swiss manufacturer's industrial grinder for roasteries and large coffee operations, built for continuous production. The 180 mm burrs are driven by a 5.5 kW three phase motor with surface cooling and high starting torque, and move up to 300 kg of coffee per hour at medium grind, 280 kg/h at espresso and 180 kg/h at Turkish fine settings.
This ST version mounts burrs in special hardened steel optimised for Turkish, extra fine grinding, with a service life of 25 to 45 tonnes; standard steel (S) and long life tungsten carbide (HM) versions are also available.
Around the grinding chamber, the 1827 is sized for production work: a 30 kg (70 litre) bean hopper, a 200 litre ground coffee container and a total weight of 240 kg including the base. Certified CB/CE, ETL, KC and PSE. Designed for medium and large roasteries that grind and package coffee at production scale, especially extra fine grinds for Turkish preparation.
