The Horizon is a new object for the coffee table: you set it on the cup, tap the button and it depressurizes the air above your coffee, with a silicone ring sealing against the rim. The display shows the progress, then the pressure reduced and a timer with how long the low pressure is held.
There are two strengths: Strong lowers the pressure by about 0.5 bar, Gentle by about 0.3 bar. Release is manual, by pressing and holding the button, or automatic after 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 or 120 seconds. The auto-off after inactivity is adjustable.
It works with rigid cups with a continuous rim, no spout, and an inner rim diameter between 45 and 80 mm. It is made of aluminum, acrylic and silicone, measures Ø 87 mm by 39 mm high and weighs 257 g. The battery charges over USB-C in 1-2 hours and lasts up to about 50 uses; Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 is used for firmware updates with the Acaia Updater app.
In the box: Horizon, silicone drip mat, USB-C cable, a replacement silicone ring, care cloth, sticker set and warranty card. The drip mat keeps your counter dry when you set it down after use.
