Porto Rico Fino AA comes from the island of Puerto Rico, home to some of the rarest coffee in the world. Low yields and largely manual, old style cultivation methods kept it out of Europe for more than 70 years; today it is back in a small limited run, selected and roasted by Laboratorio di Torrefazione Giamaica Caffè.
Every cherry is picked by hand, one by one, and the beans are processed with the washed method. The result is an Arabica of unusual structure: slightly acidic, full bodied and clean, with a strong, intense character that stays with you long after the espresso is finished.
Giamaica Caffè roasts in a small artisan workshop in the centre of Verona, one of the last roasters in the world still working with a direct flame machine. Supplied as whole beans in a 0.5 kg pack, to be ground fresh just before brewing.
