Meet the new MaraX3

We’ve been keeping a little secret… and the time has finally come to share it. The new MaraX3 is now available, introducing a refined evolution in home espresso from Lelit. 

Created for home baristas who seek precision without complexity, the MaraX3 represents a step forward in extraction control, usability, and aesthetic refinement. 

At the heart of this evolution lies the new Pagaia flow control system. Let’s take a closer look at how this technology allows you to personalize every drop of espresso.

‘Take control, shape the flow’ is the official motto of the MaraX3 — and it’s no coincidence. 

Let’s see why this phrase suits the machine perfectly. 

Unlike the mechanical paddle available as an upgrade kit for the MaraX PL62X, which modifies water flow directly at the group, the Pagaia on the MaraX3 adjusts the pump power electronically, controlling the water flow delivered from the pump to the group and, ultimately, to the coffee puck.

Turning the Pagaia clockwise gradually increases pump power up to 100%, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it accordingly. 

As pump power and flow rate are modulated, the resulting pressure variations are immediately visible on the MaraX3’s double manometer. This means pressure is no longer something that simply happens — it becomes something you can guide. 

In simple terms: more power means more flow and higher pressure, while less power reduces flow and pressure — giving you full control over every stage of extraction. 

Double Manometer 

A small detail that makes a meaningful difference is the addition of the double manometer. By displaying both brew and steam pressure, it allows you to monitor changes throughout every phase of extraction and every variation in flow.  

It transforms the brewing process into something transparent and measurable, enhancing both control and awareness. 

Premium Details 

Beyond its technical advancements, the MaraX3 introduces a renewed visual identity defined by premium materials and carefully considered details.  

The knobs, portafilter handle, lever, and tamper are now crafted in dark wood with an elegant gem-shaped design.  

These elements add strenght and durability while reinforcing the machine’s distinctive personality. 

Beyond its renewed aesthetics, the MaraX3 portafilter has also been redesigned to improve ergonomics. It is now longer and features an integrated metal core inside the wooden handle, enhancing balance and grip. 

This update improves the overall user experience, making it smoother and more comfortable to attach and detach the portafilter from the grouphead.
