Discover the new 9Barista Mk.2 – Pro and Standard editions
The 9Barista Mk.2 is here — a jet-engineered stove top espresso maker reimagined with enhanced durability, refined design, and improved user experience.
Built for true coffee enthusiasts, this latest version takes everything that made the original iconic and pushes it even further, delivering café-quality espresso in a compact, elegant form.
What’s New in the 9Barista Mk.2?
Compared to the original Mk.1, the new 9Barista Mk.2 – available in both Standard and Pro versions – brings a series of significant upgrades designed to enhance performance, durability, and overall brewing experience.
The Mk.2 features fully machined EcoBrass and stainless-steel castings, offering greater strength and 30% more wear resistance than the partially machined brass components of the Mk.1.
Heat resistance is improved thanks to the use of a steatite ceramic thermal break – delivering better insulation than the original silicon version.
Additionally, the Mk.2 introduces an anodised aluminium chimney with a slimmer profile and 250% better heat resistance, and a thicker boiler O-ring (3mm vs 2mm), extending the machine’s lifespan.
Mk.2 Standard vs Mk.2 Pro
While both the Mk.2 Standard and Mk.2 Pro share the same core upgrades over the Mk.1 — including fully machined EcoBrass and stainless-steel castings, a steatite ceramic thermal break, and a high-performance anodised aluminium chimney — the Pro version goes a step further for users who demand even more from their espresso setup.
The Mk.2 Pro features a 304 stainless steel basket cap for 75% more extraction consistency, anodised aluminium handles that offer better heat resistance than the walnut ones on the Standard, and a 53mm IMS precision basket engineered for uniform extraction.
Additionally, it comes equipped with a naked portafilter that offers more visibility of the espresso flow, allowing to fine-tune the brewing technique like a professional barista.
In short, the Mk.2 represents a leap forward in both design and functionality – with the Pro version tailored for espresso purists seeking barista-level control at home.
Included in the box are everything you need to begin your espresso journey: the 9Barista Mk.2 (in your chosen variant), a 53 mm tamper, a heat transfer (non-induction plate), replacement parts like a spare boiler O ring and safety ring, and a user guide to help you unlock the machine’s full potential right away.
