The Hario Switch turns the V60 into two brewers in one. With the stainless steel ball valve closed, water stays in the dripper for a full immersion; press the switch and the brewed coffee drains into the cup through the familiar 60 degree cone. Valve open, it works as a classic V60 pour-over. Same paper filters (size 02), two very different extraction styles.
This version replaces the usual glass body with white porcelain made in Arita, the Japanese town with a 400 year ceramic tradition; the base is silicone rubber, so it sits firmly on cups and servers. Capacity is 200ml, right for one generous cup.
A good pick for anyone who wants to explore immersion brewing without giving up the pour-over ritual, or who simply prefers a forgiving recipe: with the valve closed, the Switch evens out pouring technique almost entirely.
