The Most Exciting Innovations from Host 2025

Every two years, the world of coffee gathers in Milan to celebrate innovation, craftsmanship, and Host Milano 2025 did not let us down.

Between the aroma of freshly brewed espresso and the hum of conversation around new machines, we discovered ideas shaping the future of coffee. Here are the products that caught our eye, those that push boundaries both at the bar and at home.

Mahlkönig Xenia and X64 WS

Among the standout companies, Mahlkönig surprised everyone by unveiling, for the first time in its century-long history, an espresso machine: the new Mahlkönig Xenia. It’s a dual-boiler machine featuring a proprietary brew group — not based on the classic E61 — and full connectivity with the Grind-by-Sync system, compatible with the E65W GBS and E80W GBS grinders.

Through the Mahlkönig app, users can also manage the pressure profile, while the water tank slides out sideways, allowing it to be refilled without removing the cups from the tray.

The brand also revealed the new Mahlkönig X64 WS, its first compact grind-by-weight grinder. Equipped with 64 mm flat burrs, an electronic grind adjustment system, and Grind-by-Sync technology, it brings the solutions already seen in the professional GBS line into the home segment.

Rocket Espresso R58 Tune and Gravo

Rocket Espresso has introduced major updates to its lineup, starting with the new R58 Tune, now in its third generation.

The new R58 Tune retains the proven formula of dual boilers, rotary pump, and PID control, but features a completely redesigned look signed by Valerio Cometti and the V12 Design team.

The machine also introduces the ability to customize the pressure profile either through the PID or via the flow control lever positioned above the E61 group. Available in black or chrome versions, the R58 Tune perfectly embodies the balance between tradition and innovation.

Completing the lineup is Gravo, Rocket’s first grind-by-weight grinder: 65 mm flat burrs and a programmable touch display make setup fast and precise — in pure Rocket style.

ECM Estetika and Exacto

There were new releases from ECM as well, which presented the new Estetika, a dual-boiler espresso machine with a rotary pump and a completely redesigned brew group. Designed for home use or small professional settings, it combines elegance with solid construction.

Alongside Estetika comes Exacto, ECM’s first grind-by-weight grinder, featuring 64 mm flat burrs, a touch display programmable for up to three doses, and an intelligent system that automatically recognizes whether you’re using a single or double portafilter.

Eureka Mignon Single Dose Tech and Mignon Preciso

Eureka continues to evolve its Mignon line with two brand-new models. The Mignon Single Dose Tech takes the single-dose philosophy to a new level with a “Smart” system featuring a touchscreen and electronic grind adjustment, supported by large 75 mm burrs for top-level performance.

For grind-by-weight enthusiasts, there’s the new Mignon Preciso, an entry-level model with 50 mm burrs, an integrated scale, and a dedicated front switch. Mignon Preciso thus becomes the most accessible option in the grind-by-weight lineup, with a price around €300.

Lelit Mara X3

Lelit also took the stage with the new Mara X3, an evolution of the iconic Mara X. The main innovation is the Pagaia system, an innovative flow control that acts directly on the pump and allows users to customize flow throughout every stage of extraction. The machine also features a redesigned drip tray, created to enhance everyday usability.

Host 2025 has therefore confirmed a clear trend: grind-by-weight technology and pressure profiling systems are becoming key elements even in the home segment, bringing the same precision and customization once reserved for professionals into domestic settings.

Stay tuned to find out when these Host innovations will join our product range!
