Bought to use with a Sage Bambino espresso machine, as an upgrade from a hand grinder. Mainly using with medium-dark roast coffees. The grinder reliably produces good quality grounds and a tasty coffee; it took some time to find the espresso range the first time, and after maintenance (following cleaning instructions/videos available online). Dialling in is straightforward. It sometimes jams (might have happened 5 times in 2 years), however it is simple to clear by adjusting coarser and running the machine.
Regarding the service from Espresso Coffee Shop, delivery was fast, and Giulia efficiently resolved a problem with a part that was damaged in transit.

Servizio ottimo e prodotto eccellente, proprio come mi aspettavo.

★★★★★ Beautiful machine with wishy-washy LCD display
Josh W. · 15 ottobre 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Delivery was much faster than expecting. The machine is exactly what I ordered, however, the touch-screen LCD display gets blurry when touched . I have written ECS to see if this is normal functioning, which based on review of video footage does not appear to be, however, I have not yet heard back from them. I am hoping, if this is a defect in my machine, that it will be addressed by ECS promptly. Otherwise, machine is beautiful and functions as expected. I do await a response from ECS before I can fully recommend this vendor.

I’ve been wanting to step up my espresso game and that grinder is what I needed.
I haven’t played with it a lot yet but I’m quite impressed with what it can give so far.
I’ve experienced no retention and a perfect grind.
Easier to use than I thought.
Shipping was fast - 48h after ordering it was on my doorstep.
And the Espresso Coffee Shop was generous in giving me a promocode for that article. Efficient and serious website.

First let me thank EspressoCoffeeShop, they are one of the best services I have experienced. Nice price, fast shipping and great communication. I never felt worried that my order would be a problem. Thank You. Now the EUREKA MIGNON SPECIALITA' , this is a great machine, fast and quiet and easy to adjust grinds. I have a Gaggia Classic and was using the pressurized basket which I was having a problem getting good crema. The Eureka allowed me to switch to the non-pressurized basket along with a 9bar OPV setting and now my espresso shots are much improved. This Eureka has replaced my OXO grinder for espresso. Thanks again EspressoCoffeeShop!

★★★★★ Love this grinder, and shipping was so quick
Lian S. · 13 settembre 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I had done a lot of research on which grinder would be right for my workflow and I landed on this model from Eureka! I love the quality of the materials and the design. I was hesitant on ordering since ECS is located in Italy, and wasn't sure if there would be a huge shipping cost too. ECS's pricing was immaculate compared to all of the other US coffee retailers I looked at, even with the shipping from Italy, the price was way lower. I would definitely recommend the Eureka Mignon Specialita' as well as Espresso Coffee Shop to anyone looking for good quality service/goods. I will purchase more products in the future!

Super fast delivery from Italy to Melbourne, AU in 4 days. The Eureka Mignon Specialita is solid, compact, quiet, and thoughtfully packaged with an AU adaptor. One possible improvement idea would be to have an auto-off feature. It only took me 3 tries to dial it in with the time-based grinding and weighing workflow. A big step forward in my espresso journey and I am loving every minute of it!

Thrilled with my purchase and speed of delivery.
Ordered on a Monday - arrived on my doorstep in Hamilton, New Zealand exactly one week later. Very speedy.
The grinder itself is a massive step up for me from a Breville Smart Grinder. The clarity of flavour from the beans is incredible. The grinder is extremely quiet and can finely adjust the grind to get it just right! Recommended!

Grace T. · 19 agosto 2022 · Acquisto verificato
We ordered this with a USA plug (110V), shipping to USA was super quick (just a few days) - it arrived before our espresso machine which we ordered locally! The grinder seems great, only used it a few times so far but seems really robust, it's quiet as advertised and has just the right number of features for us. We love that it's simple to operate but seems to be very well made and looks great on our counter.

John D. · 7 agosto 2022 · Acquisto verificato
It took under 7 days to get half way around the world to Melbourne.
One corner of the box had obviously taken a hit but the foam packing completely protected the contents of the box.
It looks beautiful and grinds incredibly quiet and you save a few hundred dollars by having it shipped direct from Italy.
It feels like it will last a lifetime and is able to be repaired if needed.
I don't feel the need for any of the accessories (bellows hoppers, funnels, trays etc) as it works well and doesn't make a mess using the stock setup.
However the holder will scratch your portafilter unless you mod it as some people on the internet have described.
Dialling in the grind size and dose time for your machine takes a bit of trial and error.
E.g. Mine is currently set to size 1.1 and 8.4 seconds using medium roast beans for a Rancilio Silvia with a 14g basket .
Sorry, but I needed to use the instructions on dialling it in from Clive Coffee because it clearly stepped through the process.
The taste of coffee from it seems to do justice to the quality and character of your beans.
We are excited to try new beans because of the Eureka Mignon Specialita.

Matthew L. · 24 luglio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
My grinder shipped super fast (in 2 days) and right out of the box it was easy to assemble and fits perfectly in my at home barista setup. As for the grinding quality, this grinder has super low retention and normally I get out the same or 0.1-0.2g less than I put in when I single dose. I've only been using this grinder for about 2 weeks but so far it has been helping with producing very consistent shots. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this grinder, especially with the white color!

Using the grinder for espresso and it's made a big improvement compared to my previous grinder. Fast, quiet and produces a very even grind. ★★★★★ Amazing grinder, amazing service
Gregory F. · 6 luglio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I ordered the 110v version from espressocoffeeshop, delivered to the USA and it was with me within 48 hours, excellent service. I upgraded to this from the built in grinder on my Breville Barista Express and it is a whole new world. Quiet, really fast, consistent, no clumps. The wheel is small but once you get the general range for espresso it's fairly easy to dial in new coffees. My espresso has definitely improved. I've been weighing the coffee output (I don't single dose, I use the timer) and it's very consistent. I got the white which looks great and is easy to keep clean. I haven't tried using this for anything but espresso but I agree with many reviews dialing it back and forth would be a pain, small increments can make a big difference. It's well built, I think I will have this for many years to come and it does everything I need and it does it well.

Mark S. · 30 giugno 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Feels like buying a gold mine! The coarseness of the grind is a little screwy at first, grab some junk coffee to get the espresso grind roughly dialed in at first. Don’t go too fine - it can make Turkish coffee which espresso machines are unhappy with.
Still dialing in the button timing. It grinds so fast, the stock 11 seconds gives you way too much coffee!
Extremely sturdy. Gorgeous. The only complaint might be the hopper, as I’ve seen other people say it is cheap feeling. True. But the rest of the unit is built like a tank, and I can tell it will last many years. Love it! Buy it now!

Derek X. · 23 marzo 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Machine looks like but has some quality issues unfortunately. When I turned mine on, the burrs would not grind. I made the grind setting more coarse in case the burrs were touching, preventing it from turning - however that didn't fix it either. I completely removed the hopper and tried to run it with no beans in it, the bottom burr would not move at all. I suspect there is some fault with the machine, tried troubleshooting all day with no luck.

After much research for an affordable grinder I came across espresso coffee shop and could not believe the pricing. Coming from the States I thought it was too good to be true. So I pulled the trigger, though they were sold out of the other color /finish choices. I was happy to purchase the standard model which had the lowest pricing. I received it in about 4 days! Amazing!! Very happy and satisfied. Even better, their support answered a question I had within a day! Nothing great things to say about my buying experience!!! These folks know how to serve. Guess where I’m going when it’s time for a new coffee machine!!!!

I'm one of the blokes who ordered from the good ol stars and stripes and I can honestly say that the whole experience has been exceptional. From the ease of the website to the blazing fast fulfillment and shipping speed. The fact I was able to get my grinder so dang fast has made me question every other company's shipping times. The grinder is fantastic and will last anyone a good long time. It is compact but very heavy for it's size. Some might say that it is a messy grinder and I definitely had some run in with that. But after investing in a dozing ring and adding a spritz of water this grinder is an absolute dream. Coming from a cheap machine and grinder to having this bad boy has been the single greatest upgrade of my espresso journey. To the employees at espresso coffee, I salute you legends!

I like almost everything about this grinder. The only serious downside is a motor. It uses a direct drive, 300W, AC motor, that drives large burrs. This configuration is bound to have a very low initial torque, so every time you have managed to clog the grinder's shute with oily beans, you will have to take it apart and clean it. Not a big deal, but when you have just 5 min in the morning to make yourself a coffee, this can be very annoying. I myself prefer medium roast, so this issue almost non-existent for me.
Another thing that happens often because of the same motor issue, is a stuck grinder when you take the bin hopper of, and then put it back: the residual bins and their bits that remain on the top of the burrs will be redistributed and pressed down by the hooper’s pipe butt, so that they will be pressed tightly to the burrs, and this pressure is enough to prevent the motor from spinning. The symptom is the same as if the shute is clogged, but in reality, you just need to move the hopper a bit up when the grinder is on, and once it unclogs itself you can press it down firmly again. So, hopefully, this tip can help you.
On the other hand, this motor configuration makes the grinder simple mechanically/eclectically and very reliable. It can serve many many years.
I should mention that my coffee grind is very consistent now, and blind testing showed a noticeable taste improvement compared to my old Breville Smart grinder.
I also really liked the price and the overall service from espressocoffeeshop.com. I ordered it from Canada, and the price, including taxes, custom duties and currier shipping, was still much less than what I could find in Canada (and I was looking high and low), both online and in retail shops. Overall, I am happy with the product and even more happy with the service from espressocoffeeshop.com!

★★★★★ Very High Quality Grinder and Great Price
Curran D. · 17 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I was looking for a good espresso grinder for a reasonable price and decided to try this one. The product arrived to the US from Italy in just a few days, and the transaction went very smoothly. The grinder itself is built very well, and the amount of adjustability is great. It is possible to switch grind sizes, though might require some note taking on exactly where you need the knob positioned for different coffee types. The Perfetto might be a better option if you're brewing a wider variety of coffee types. I really like the timed dispensation, it gives output that's usually pretty close to exactly the correct dose I need for whatever drink I'm making.

★★★★★ Efficient and quiet!
michael h. · 17 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
This grinder is hard to beat at the price point. It is very quiet and grinds a double shot in about 9 seconds. The consistency is great and easier to control than my old Baratza 270. It’s also a very beautiful and compact machine on the counter. The adjustment knob allows for a lot of precision but takes a bit of getting used to given how little one has to move it from one roast to the next to dial things in.

The grinder arrived quickly, even though was coming from another part of the world, which is much appreciated. It's a nice grinder that produces nice fluffy grinds, looks stylish on bench and takes a very little space compare to many other grinders with the same burr's size.

★★★★★ Pleasing overall
Justin B. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Prompt delivery from Italy to Australia and arrived well packaged.
Well constructed and I anticipate should last a long time.
I use it single dosing and it grinds very consistently producing excellent shots.
Minor gripes are that it won't grind fine enough for some espresso roasts that I had no trouble going fine enough with in other grinders, therefore requiring me to increase the dose from 19 to 22g to get an acceptable extraction. I contacted ECS to enquire about burr alignment or whether it might be possible to shim it or something else to go finer, but never received a response.
The portafilter fork is useless so I have to grind into a separate tall plastic jug.
The hopper allowed too much debris and dust to escape the small hole around the little sliding stop, particularly with single dosing, so I had to seal this up with a little silicone, but it could have been designed much better.

★★★★★ Excellent espresso grinder, but…
Karolis P. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Premium quality looking grinder with great functionality and ease of grinding. However, bean hopper lid arrived slightly cracked and the grinder was not working properly because of a disconnected wire inside. I had to remove the bottom of the grinder to fix it. The problems disappeared and it worked fine ever since.

★★★★★ Great Grinder
Michael T. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
This is an excellent grinder. It is quiet and retains virtually no residual coffee. This means you can grind individual doses within 0.1 gram and no need to purge when changing coffee. It is difficult to set the grind the first time as the finest knob makes several full turns. Start by turning it all the way to the finest grind and work back a full turn.

★★★★★ quiet - efficient - sturdy
Robert P. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
This grinder is my first "quality" machine. Many recommend investing in the grinder as well as the espresso machine. Looking at reviews of other grinders in this price range, this one stood out for the quality of the "build" and the quality of the grind.
So far it is performing well !
I highly recommend ordering from Espresso Coffee Shop. They made the ordering and shipping to the USA as easy as ordering from (forgive me for this ...) Amazon.
Pros:
- no clumping
- quiet grinding
- little mess (no problems with static - nice waterfall of grounds ejecting out of the chute)
- sturdy feel, quality build
- clean lines, nice design
- dual voltage (110 / 240) with the US version provided with the right (3 prong) plug
- clean display, easily adjustable timer for dosing
Cons
- grind dial on top of machine takes some getting used to. it is obviously not like the machines larger dials with marks for different grinds. However it allows for finer control over grind size
- lid to hopper fits on very tightly, requiring a bit of a struggle to get off

Yew T. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
Received the product in Australia within 1 week. Found out the face of the machine got a paint damage. Contact espresso coffee and been advised by them whether I want to receive $50 refund. I return another email and told them I prefer to return it and receive another unit without cosmetic damage. However haven't heard back anything even I have sent them 3-4 email. So I start using the grinder after two weeks within any response from them and send them another email and told them to refund me $50 as I already use the grinder. As usual, no one responded and no refund was made too.
The coffee machine work fine. The only down side is the dial to adjust the size is very hard to adjust as the dial button can turn infinite. Other than that it's a great machine.

★★★★★ Really a Great Grinder!
Wesley M. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I have no complaints with this grinder as it functions the way it should for the last couple of months. I like that we can change the grind size and make enough for multiple shots.
I was having trouble with the touch screen until I learned that I had to be touching the grinder on the chrome metal before the screen would become responsive... Not sure if that is a similar experience with other customers using this grinder.
It has only stopped working and gotten jammed with a bean once, and it wouldnt grind because something was stuck. Changing the grind to more coarse allowed this to fix itself without having to take apart to clean out.
The plastic Hopper is better quality plastic than I had thought although we dont use the bean limiter or keep it full of beans often. This is more a use fresh type of grinder for us.
Overall great product and would recommend again!

★★★★★ Elegant and functional, with a few flaws
Tim B. · 15 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I am loving my Specialita, delivered promptly and efficiently and in good condition. The operation of the grinder is easy, and the quality of my espresso has never been better.
There were a couple of flaws in my grinder: one functional and one aesthetic. Functionally, the bean gate that stops beans flowing into the grinding chamber, was sticky, and would not close properly. I worked at it with files and knives, but it's difficult to fix, as the flaw is in the clear plastic, not the black gate. The second minor issue is that the logo, appearing below the porta filter holder, was attached on an angle, not straight. This obviously has no impact on my coffee, but it was a bit disappointing in terms of the visual appeal of the grinder.
The grinder's timer is straightforward to set, but the quantity of coffee dispensed varies according to the fineness of the grind, so every grind adjustment requires a timing adjustment, which is not so easy to guess. Ultimately, I think the answer is to single-dose, but that is not so easy to implement with this grinder.
Overall, I love the grinder (mine is yellow!), and it grinds beautifully. But the manufacturing flaws are a bit of a disappointment.

★★★★★ Size Does Matter
tom f. · 14 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
If you have limited space and still want a great grind, the Eureka Mignon Specialita certainly fills that bill. It is, however, more sensitive than the much larger 35 pound grinders. I like the 35 pounders more, but for limited space the Specialita is 98% as good in a 66% smaller package; it's really slick lookin' too. My only minor complaints: since it doesn't have a massive motor, it sometimes gets hung up even when you don't change the grind setting and the diminutive grind setting knob is not user friendly. I would actually rate this 4.5 stars, but it wasn't an option.

★★★★★ Eureka Mignon Specialita Review
Sean H. · 14 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
This is an amazing grinder. I previously used a Sette 270, and this is no doubt superior in performance and construction. It’s extremely quiet and extremely consistent. I grind medium to dark roasted beans for espresso, and there’s literally minimal retention. Beautiful hefty construction. Great looks. For the price, not sure what can beat it. The touch screen feature is a nice bonus, especially if you’re pulling lots of shots back-to-back since it has a timed grind option and single and double dose options. Since I single dose, I don’t use it all that much but wanted it just in case. The only complaint I have is the Specialita sticker on front — could have been incorporated into the machine imo at this price point. The hopper can be changed out for a single dosing hopper easily. Excellent grinder here. Don’t hesitate if you’re on the fence.

★★★★★ Precise but slower than expected
Stephen W. · 14 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
This machine is excellent, very accurate, and will give .3.-.6 of a gram accuracy every time, which is pretty good going simply off a timer.
The micro-metric adjustment knob really does allow for fine tune grind adjustments. The machine is also quiet, but not AS quiet as advertised. And although for a small machine with 55mm burrs, it is still quick, but also, not as quick as stated. To achieve a 22gram dose, this will take 15 seconds. Overall a very accurate and slick machine, with all timing and grind adjustments being very user friendly.

I find the grind size to be very consistent and the grinder to be very quiet in its operation compared to others. The construction is very solid. The touch screen is easy to use. The only thing I don’t love is the fork, which has a screw allowing its adjustment. For me the screw arrived over tightened and partially stripped so I cannot move the fork up and down.

The Specialita is a great espresso grinder, the build feels rock solid and high quality. The touchscreen makes the setting of the timed dose super easy and being able to pause a grind to manage a stray ground (just press the grind button) and then pick up where you left off in the timed dose is also very handy.
The only small criticism I would have is the plastic hopper which could feel more premium, but given overall experience is so good I still rate this 5 stars

★★★★★ So much better than the Baratza Encore
Creeland P. · 14 gennaio 2022 · Acquisto verificato
I had received a Rancilio Silvia espresso machine as a Christmas gift. The problem was that my Encore could not get fine enough and the grounds were terribly inconsistent.
This machine has proven to be a MASSIVE upgrade. It's almost completely silent and it produces wonderfully fine and consistent grounds. I'm actually able to pull good shots now.
My recommendation to everyone when they first get this grinder is to find your machine's absolute zero. Run the grinder and then slowly adjust the knob finer. Once you hear a chirping sound (its obvious don't worry), note the number on the knob. That's your zero point. A good starting point for espresso is 2 numbers above zero, but it will depend on your particular machine. Every grinder is slightly different.
Hope this helps and happy grinding!
