A complete prosumer setup in one purchase: the Rocket R58, the dual boiler of Rocket's R Series, paired with the Eureka Mignon Single Dose, the single dosing grinder from Eureka's premium range. Machine and grinder cover the two halves of espresso quality, and both are built on the same idea: professional components, home format.
The R58 runs two boilers (0.58l for brewing, 1.8l for steam) with independent PID control, so you can pull shots and steam milk at the same time without compromise. The E61 group, the commercial grade rotary pump and the choice between the 2.5l reservoir and direct water line connection come straight from the professional world; each machine is built by hand in Milan.
The Mignon Single Dose grinds one weighed dose at a time with near-zero retention: 65mm Diamond Inside flat burrs, a steeply inclined grind chamber and the Blow-Up bellows that clears the chute after every grind. Change coffee as often as you like: nothing stale carries over to the next shot.

The Rocket R58 “Cinquantotto” is the most popular dual boiler coffee machine sold by Rocket. The secret for its success is simple: high quality, incredible looks and packed with the latest technology. Now on its 3rd generation, this coffee machine has a totally re designed PID with multiple functions.
Now at its second generation, the R “Cinquantotto” shows a facelifted body that continues the design philosophy of the previous generation. The main visual change with this new machine comes with the new feet, much more linear in the design compared to the previous ones. Another new feature is a multi-function PAD (that’s how they call it at Rocket). Just like the previous one, this new PID is not integrated into the coffee machine like in other models of its class which we appreciate since you can still choose whether to have it plugged in or not. Rocket told us that they kept this option in order to give the possibility to the owner to make use of the functionalities when needed but to also enjoy the simplicity of the design when the PAD is not needed.
Unlike the previous PID, the new one features a new USB connection instead of the outdated DVI-D and a high-resolution touch screen. Through the new highly intuitive menu you can change the temperature of both boilers, set the timer for turn on/shut down any day of the week, and turn off either one of the boilers.
The adjustable feet seen in the previous generation have been substituted by new and more angular feet which we believe are very original and fit perfectly with the machine’s design. Inside its business as usual: one 0.58 L brew boiler and one 1.8 L steam boiler. Feeding the boilers is an extremely quiet Rotatory pump with the option to connect the machine directly to the waterline.
Pros
The PAD: the PID is extremely intuitive and the touch screen is as user friendly as the latest generation smartphones. We find particularly useful the option to program the wake up/shut down of the coffee machine each day of the week and the easy setting of the temperature for each of the two boilers. The new USB is also very practical since, unlike the previous generation, you can unplug it both when the machine is on or off.
New Feet: we are aware that there are mixed opinions on the new design of the fee out there, however, we absolutely love them. They seem to adapt perfectly to the clean design of the R “Cinquantotto”.

This Eureka Oro Mignon Single Dose is exactly what it sounds like: Eureka Oro Mignon XL adapted for Single Dose use. What you get as a result is a slightly tilted forward coffee grinder in order to optimize the coffee flow in the grinding chamber, a blow-up system, and a dosing cup (both as standard).
This iteration of the Mignon is for the ones who have a specific ritual when preparing their espresso shot. Since the Single Dose is taken from the Mignon XL, it has all of its main features meaning 65 mm burrs in pure diamond and extra refinement. What you gain in this model is a blow-up system (supplied as standard) for near to zero retention, a stainless steel dosing cup in order to effectively collect all of the ground coffee, and most noticeably, the ELR system. This system inclines the coffee grinder forward by 15° in order to incline the grinding chamber and ensure zero retention. A drastic and eye-catching solution to solve the biggest of the single-dosing issues. You also get a removable base in durmast wood kept in place thanks to magnets to accommodate the dosing cup. Since the wood base is easily removable, you can substitute it with a scale for instant weighing of the coffee.
