The Lyra is Hario's gooseneck electric kettle for brewers who want full control of their water. Temperature is adjustable in 1°C steps from 38°C to 100°C, with a one touch boil function and a memory that stores up to five favourite settings, so switching between your V60, tea and French press temperatures takes one press.
Once at temperature, the Lyra holds it for 15 minutes, reheating automatically while the kettle sits on its base. The control panel, under tempered glass, also includes a stopwatch for timing pour over brews and a timer for French press or tea, plus a mute option for the alert sounds.
The stainless steel body holds from 300 to 800 ml, weighs only around 530 g empty and pours through a slim gooseneck spout with the slow, steady flow that hand brewing rewards. The base rotates 360° and the contoured handle sits comfortably in different grips.
