Astoria AB200 Professional Espresso Machine

The AB200 is Astoria's new professional machine, designed and built in Susegana, near Treviso, where the company has been making coffee machines since 1969. It is designed for work behind the counter: clear controls, each one in its place, and a drip tray that adjusts to two heights (80 or 125 mm under the group, for cups or tall glasses).

Choose the size that fits your venue: 2 group compact (615 mm wide, 7 litre boiler), 2 groups (770 mm, 9.5 litres) or 3 groups (990 mm, 15 litres). The compact runs at 220-240 V; the 2 and 3 group versions can be ordered at 220-240 V or at 380-415 V three phase.

The Advanced boiler fills and heats continuously, so the machine stays ready even at peak hours; pressure is set through an NTC probe between 0.6 and 1.4 bar. The new coffee group reaches temperature faster and keeps it steady, whether shots are spaced out or pulled one after another.

Each group has its own keypad with four doses (one or two espressos, one or two long coffees), a key for continuous brewing and programming, and a shot counter. Steam opens with a lever with Purge function, to purge the wand before frothing milk, and there are two manual steam wands. There is a dosed hot water outlet, energy saving, a guided group cleaning cycle and a USB port. The Astoria portafilters have a new handle and a deep basket holder that takes filters up to 21 g.

The Display version adds the 3.5 inch touch screen display, which manages the settings and starts the cleaning cycle, the mixed hot water outlet with three settable doses, advanced energy saving and an insulated boiler. The Buttons version does everything from the keypad.

For maintenance, removing just 13 screws takes off all the panels. There are three colours: deep black (RAL 9005), white (RAL 9003) and cool grey (RAL 7001).
