Rocket Espresso's compact pair, machine and grinder from the same hands in Milan: the Appartamento heat exchanger machine together with the Faustino 3.1 grinder.
The Appartamento was designed for kitchens where space matters, without giving up the E61 group head. Its 1.8 litre copper boiler works as a heat exchanger, so you can pull espresso and steam milk at the same time, fed by a vibration pump and a 2.5 litre water tank. At just 27 cm wide, with stainless steel panels and the signature round cutouts, it has become one of the most recognisable home machines of the last decade.
The Faustino 3.1 keeps up on the grinding side: 50 mm flat hardened steel burrs with stepless adjustment, a touch control pad with three programmable doses plus continuous mode, and a 300 g hopper in a body only 16.2 cm wide.
Buying them together means a matched, ready to use espresso corner: heat exchanger workflow for back to back milk drinks, and a grinder precise enough to dial the Appartamento in properly.
The Rocket Appartamento is the smallest and most accessible coffee machine in the Rocket Line-up. However, don’t be fooled by its size because this is a true prosumer coffee machine, perfect for even the smallest kitchen. Available in different color configurations.
The Appartamento's design is exactly what you would expect from a Rocket: clean, sleek and cured to the smallest detail in pure Rocket fashion. With clear and easy-to-use instrumentation, this machine is not only good to look at, but also incredibly functional: every knob and lever is right where it should be. Inside, you have a 1.8 Liter copper boiler with a heat exchanger which allows you to brew your espresso and froth the milk at the same time. The E61 group head allows not only impressive temperature stability but also a 1-second pre-infusion system for a better extraction. Like the bigger machines in the lineup, the Appartamento also features a hot water wand to prepare other types of hot drinks at all times. On the side you will find the machine's most distinguishable feature, 12 circles cut through the panel and fill in either white or copper. The feet in the Appartamento are also much shorter compared to other Rocket models which makes the overall machine much shorter allowing you to fit it in the smallest spaces.

Things to Consider
Cup Rail: the standard cup rail fitted on top of the machine is in plastic and might not look as premium as the rest of the coffee machine. We recommend upgrading to the stainless steel cup rail which fits perfectly with the rest of the machine.
Careful with Chrome: being entirely covered in shiny stainless steel panels a small scratch or dirt can be easily seen. To avoid that we always recommend cleaning the coffee machine with a micro-fiber cloth.
